# Create dashboards

A well-designed dashboard turns raw data into insights you can act on. To help you get started, several ready-made templates cover common use cases. You can use these as a foundation, but we recommend customizing them or building your own dashboards to match your needs and workflows.

## Create a new dashboard

1. In your site, go to **Dashboards**.
2. Select **Create dashboard**.
3. Select **Add item**, and drag and drop an item on your new dashboard.
4. In **Available datasets**, search for data you want to display in the dashboard item.
5. Drag and drop the selected data into the dashboard item.
6. Select **Close editor**.

Your dashboard is saved automatically.

              Rename your dashboard

              

New dashboards are named **Untitled dashboard** by default. Change your dashboard’s name by selecting the current name and entering a new one.
