# What is Flow Builder

Lansweeper’s Flow Builder introduces an innovative enablement environment for Lansweeper Site, empowering you to create visual workflows with automated actions triggered by data from Lansweeper and other sources — all without requiring advanced developer skills.

With Flow Builder, you can automate responses to data triggers from Lansweeper and other sources, allowing you to perform actions like:

- Creating a helpdesk ticket
- Sending a Slack message
- Tagging assets managed by external tools
- Patching a vulnerability

The visual workflow capabilities also make it easier to share meaningful information across diverse teams, enabling different stakeholders to see the logical progression of processes, understand them, and contribute to improvements based on their unique perspectives.

Flow Builder transforms Lansweeper into a versatile platform, allowing you to add automated, responsive actions to dynamic IT management.

### Third-party data availability

You can now consolidate data from various tools, including Lansweeper, across complex IT environments into a single workflow interface, giving you additional context and actionable intelligence.

In the first version of Flow Builder, you can add new data to Lansweeper’s custom fields by connecting to an external source and editing the custom field of asset(s). Future updates will support creating new assets and combining new dashboard information with Flow Builder information, enhancing visibility and control.

### Other features
