# Manage asset views

Views let you customize how your asset overview is displayed and filtered. Lansweeper includes default views for common scenarios, and you can create your own.

## Default views

Lansweeper includes built-in views to help you monitor your inventory without setup. These can be used as-is or saved as a starting point for a custom view.

## Create a custom view

1. Go to **Assets > Views > Edit columns**.
2. Customize your asset overview:
  - Select **Add field(s)** to add columns.
  - Drag any column to change the order.
  - Remove any column by selecting **Delete**.
3. If you're happy with the view, select **Unsaved View > Save as new**.
4. Enter a name for your view.
5. Select **Save as new**.

## Filter your asset list

1. Go to **Assets > Views > Filters**.
2. Select a field in the **Field** dropdown.
3. Select an operation and/or value to filter. Select **+** to add additional filters.
4. Select **Apply**.
5. If you're happy with the view, select **Unsaved View > Save as new**.
6. Enter a name for your view.
7. Select **Save as new**.

## Set a default view

1. Go to **Assets > Views > All views**.
2. Select the view you would like to use.
3. Select **Set as default**.

## Share a view

1. Go to **Assets > Views > All views**.
2. Select the view you want to share.
3. Select **More actions**, then **Share**.
4. In **Share view with**, choose the share option you prefer:
  - **Only me**: The selected view will only be accessible to you.
  - **Everyone on this site (includes future accounts)**: The selected view will be accessible to every user that has an account on your site.
  - **Specific accounts**: The selected view will be accessible to users you specify with an account on your site.
5. Select **Apply**.

## Rename a view

1. Go to **Assets > Views > All views**.
2. Select the view you want to rename.
3. Select the view name, then enter a new name in the field.
4. Select **Apply**.

## Export a view

1. Go to **Assets** > **Views**.
2. Filter your view however you want.
3. In the filtered results table, select **Export table**.
4. If your export has fewer than 10,000 items, select CSV or XLSX.
5. Select **Export**.

              Large exports

Exports of 10,000 items or more download automatically as a CSV file. A progress window shows how the export is going, and you can open a new window to keep working while you wait.

## Delete a view

1. Go to **Assets > Views > All views**.
2. Select the view you want to delete.
3. Select **More actions**, then **Delete**.
4. Confirm that you want to delete this view and select **Delete**.
