# Relink Network Discovery to a site in a different region

You can relink your Network Discovery hub to a new site in a different region for compliance, performance, or organizational reasons. Because region selection is permanent once a site is created, you'll need to create a new site in your desired region and connect your hub to it.

## Considerations

- You cannot migrate an existing site between regions. You must create a new site.
- Sites can currently be hosted in EU (Europe/Ireland) or US East (Ohio). For more information, see [Regions and data residency](/v1/docs/regions-and-data-residency).
- Removing a Network Discovery hub from your site will permanently delete all linked sensors and all asset data it has ever brought in.

## Relink a hub that is already connected to a site

1. In your current site, go to **Discovery > Systems**.
2. Find your Network Discovery hub and select **Delete**.

              Permanent data loss

Removing a Network Discovery system from your site will permanently delete all linked sensors and all asset data it has ever brought in.

1. On the machine running the hub, open a browser and go to your Network Discovery hub. By default, the URL is `https://localhost:59525`.
2. Select **Linking options > Cloud-based inventory for all assets (recommended)**.
3. Select **Link with Lansweeper Site**.
4. Log in to your Lansweeper Platform.
5. Select **Create site**.
6. Enter a unique name for your site.
7. Under **Data region**, select your desired region from the dropdown.
8. Select **Create**.

Your hub and sensors will appear in **Discovery > Systems** in your new site.

## Link a hub without an existing Network Discovery installation

1. Log in to your Lansweeper Platform.
2. Select **Create site**.
3. Enter a unique name for your site.
4. Under **Data region**, select your desired region from the dropdown.
5. Select **Create**.
6. Select your desired operating system, then select **Download Network Discovery** and follow the installation wizard.
7. Once the installation is complete, you will be redirected to your Lansweeper Platform. Select your newly created site from the list to link it to the Network Discovery hub.

Your hub and sensors will appear in **Discovery > Systems** in your new site.

              Installation instructions

For complete installation instructions, see [Install Network Discovery](/docs/install-network-discovery).

## Remove your original site (optional)

If you no longer need the original site, you can delete it. For more information, see [Delete a site](/docs/delete-a-site).

## Next steps

Now that your hub is connected to your new site, configure discovery:

- [Create discovery credentials](/docs/create-discovery-credentials)
- [Create a Network Discovery action](/docs/create-a-network-discovery-action)
