When you link a Lansweeper Classic installation to a Lansweeper Platform site, one of the prerequisite checks confirms that the Lansweeper Server service on your sync server is running.
Your sync server is the scanning server you select to sync with Lansweeper Platform.
Why this check runs
The Lansweeper Server service connects and syncs your local Lansweeper database with your site. If this service isn't running or can't connect to your local database, the sync can't work.
Resolve a failed check
A failed check means the Lansweeper Server service isn't connecting to your local Lansweeper database.
- On your sync server, open Windows Services.
- Start the Lansweeper Server service if it isn't already running.
- If the service fails to start, check
Program Files (x86)\Lansweeper\Service\Errorlog.txtfor database connection errors.
When all prerequisites pass, you can link your installation to a site.
