Web server internet access

Prev Next

When you link a Lansweeper Classic installation to a Lansweeper Platform site, one of the prerequisite checks confirms that the machine hosting your web console can reach the internet. This page explains the check and how to resolve it if it fails.

Why this check runs

Lansweeper Platform is hosted in the cloud, so the machine running your web console must reach it over the internet to link successfully.

Allow traffic to these URLs on port 443, based on where your site is hosted.

Europe United States
edge.eu.lansweeper.com edge.us.lansweeper.com
https://id.lansweeper.com https://id.us.lansweeper.com
https://app.lansweeper.com https://app.lansweeper.com
https://eu.lansweeper.com https://us.lansweeper.com
installerapi.lansweeper.com installerapi.lansweeper.com
*.aws.amazon.com *.aws.amazon.com
*.amazonaws.com *.amazonaws.com
https://discovery-gateway.lansweeper.com https://discovery-gateway.lansweeper.com
*.authentication.lansweeper.com *.authentication.lansweeper.com
First-time US site creation

The first time you create a US-based site from the Lansweeper Classic console, also allow https://app.lansweeper.com while you create the site. Once the site is created, you can remove this URL from your allowlist.

Proxy connections need HTTP/2

Syncing with Lansweeper Platform sends an almost constant stream of data between your installation and the cloud. Lansweeper only allows syncing through HTTP/2-enabled proxies. If your installation uses a proxy for outbound traffic, enable HTTP/2 or add an exception that bypasses the proxy for edge.eu.lansweeper.com or edge.us.lansweeper.com, depending on your region.

Resolve a failed check

If the web server internet access check fails, confirm your web server can make outbound connections to the URLs above and their sub-URLs.

If it can't, ask your network admin to check the anti-virus software, proxy servers, software firewalls, hardware firewalls, and other components on your network. Any of these can block the web server's outbound access.

When all prerequisites pass, you can link your installation to a site.
