Default installation and log file locations for Network Discovery

Lansweeper Discovery installs several core components such as the hub, sensors, and updater on your system. When troubleshooting, you can review these log files or use the built-in log collection script to gather diagnostic data.

For easy reference, this article lists default installation and log file locations for Windows, Linux, and macOS.

Installation paths

By default, Lansweeper Network Discovery installs its components in the following directories:

Windows

C:\Program Files\Lansweeper Network Discovery

Linux

/opt/lansweeper-hub
/opt/lansweeper-it-sensor
/opt/lansweeper-ot-sensor
/opt/lansweeper-network-discovery-traffic-sensor

Traffic sensor locations

The locations below are the default operational paths used by the traffic sensor on Linux:

Lansweeper Network Discovery maintains separate log files for the hub, sensors, update service, and installers.
