Lansweeper Discovery gives you unified visibility across your IT, OT, and cloud technology estate. It combines three discovery systems so that assets are accounted for wherever they run: on your local network, on remote endpoints, and in the cloud.
Discovery systems
Each system targets a different part of your environment. Together, they cover assets that no single method reaches on its own.
- Network Discovery maps your connected infrastructure, including servers, workstations, IoT, and OT devices, for deep visibility into your local network. See What is Network Discovery?.
- IT Agent Discovery tracks endpoints that are off-network or intermittently connected, such as laptops used by hybrid or remote employees. See What is IT Agent Discovery?.
- Cloud Discovery inventories assets across cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. See What is Cloud Discovery?.
If you configured scanning in the legacy Lansweeper interface, you can still reach it from the platform. See Access classic scanning.
One unified inventory
The same device can be found by more than one discovery system. The reconciliation engine identifies these matches and merges them into a single asset record, so your inventory reflects your real environment instead of duplicates. See Understand the reconciliation engine.
Network and dependency diagrams
Discovery builds network and dependency diagrams automatically. These show how your on-premises, remote, and cloud assets relate to each other, so you can see connections across your environment without mapping them by hand.
Deployment
Installation is unified across the discovery systems. In most environments, you can get full visibility of your IT environment in under 30 minutes.
