Create account groups

Prev Next

For more information about access management, see Access management in Lansweeper Sites.

An account group is a container for multiple member accounts that share the same roles.

Groups help you:

  • Assign and update access for teams or departments at once.

  • Keep user management consistent as people join or leave the organization.

You can assign one or more roles to an account group. Every account in that group inherits its permissions and scopes.

Prerequisites

Create an account group

  1. In your Lansweeper Site, go to Site settings > Account management > Account groups.

  2. Select Create account group.

  3. Enter a Name and an optional description.

  4. If you have already invited members to your site, select the accounts from the list of available accounts.

If you haven’t invited any members yet, you can add them to this group later when inviting users to the Site.

  5. Select the Roles from the list that you want to assign to the account group.

  6. Select Create.
