A user relation links a user to one or more assets using a relation type, adding context about how people use your assets. For example, you can record which laptop a person uses or which assets they're responsible for.
You can create user relations for any user in your inventory, including users synced from Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD).
Prerequisites
- A relation type that fits the relationship you want to record. To create or manage relation types, see Manage asset relation types.
- The Create relations between assets and users permission. If you don't have it, contact your site administrator.
Create a user relation
- Go to Users > Views and locate the user you want to create a relation for.
- Hover over the user's name, then select Go to user to open their overview page.
