A well-designed dashboard turns raw data into insights you can act on. To help you get started, several ready-made templates cover common use cases. You can use these as a foundation, but we recommend customizing them or building your own dashboards to match your needs and workflows.
Prerequisites
To create a dashboard, you need:
- A paid plan. On the Free plan, you can view and export the default dashboards as images, but creating dashboards isn't available.
- A role with the Create and delete dashboards permission. The default Administrator and Analyse data roles include it; the View data role is read-only. See Manage roles.
Create a new dashboard
- In your site, go to Dashboards.
- Select Create dashboard.
- Select Add item, and drag and drop an item on your new dashboard.
- In Available datasets, search for data you want to display in the dashboard item.
- Drag and drop the selected data into the dashboard item.
- Select Close editor.
Your dashboard is saved automatically.
New dashboards are named Untitled dashboard by default. Change your dashboard’s name by selecting the current name and entering a new one.
If the Create dashboard option is missing, either your site is on the Free plan or your role doesn't include the Create and delete dashboards permission. Check your subscription plan, or ask your site administrator to review your role. See Access management.
