Only available for legacy Lansweeper UI users
The classic scanning option is only available for customers who have already configured classic scanning in the legacy Lansweeper interface. For new users, use Network Discovery to Discover assets on your network.
If you configured classic scanning in the legacy Lansweeper interface, you can continue to access your classic scanning setup in the Lansweeper Platform Experience. This allows you to maintain your existing scan servers, targets, and credentials while you transition to the Lansweeper Platform Experience.
While you configure and maintain classic scanning through the legacy interface, all scanned asset data appears in the Lansweeper Platform Experience.
Prerequisites
You must have a legacy site with classic scanning already configured in the Lansweeper legacy interface.

FAQs
Is classic scanning being removed?
No. Scanning remains fully available. You'll continue managing it within the platform, so your existing setup and workflows remain intact.
Do I need to migrate to Modernized Discovery now?
No. There is no immediate requirement to change anything. When the time comes, we will provide step-by-step guidance. That said, many customers are already exploring Modernized Discovery because it offers clearer configuration, improved coverage, and easier ongoing management.
