What's included in the Free plan

Prev Next

The Free plan scans your full environment with no asset cap. Every discovered asset appears in your inventory. What varies by plan is how much data and insights you can see for each asset.

Free plan capabilities

Capability What's included
Dashboards All default dashboards, with export as images
Views All default views. You can duplicate, edit, and save. Exporting views requires a paid plan.
Discovery Unlimited scanning with no limits on actions, credentials, or configurations.
Asset inventory All discovered assets are visible. Unlicensed assets show basic details. See How your license limit works.
Users Unlimited users invited to your site, with a default role.

For a complete list of capabilities on the Free plan vs paid plans, see Lansweeper pricing.

How your license limit works

The Free plan includes 100 licensed assets. Your first 100 scanned assets display their full scan details. Everything beyond that is unlicensed and shows only basic details. Non-billable assets never count towards your asset limit.

Available on the Free plan

Licensed and unlicensed assets currently apply to the Free plan only. This will extend to all plans in the future.

Licensed assets

Your first 100 scanned assets are licensed. For these assets, Lansweeper displays basic and detailed asset information such as the manufacturer, model, state, and more.

Unlicensed assets

Once you reach 100 licensed assets, Lansweeper continues to scan new assets but displays only basic details such as name, type, and IP address.

Non-billable assets

Non-billable assets are discovered assets with limited value, such as assets for which only their type is known, metadata records or infrastructure objects such as VPCs and containers. Lansweeper displays all discoverable data for these assets, and they never count toward your 100-asset license limit.

Filter assets by license status

The Licensed column is included in your asset view by default, sorted to show your licensed assets first. To filter for just licensed or unlicensed assets, add a filter to any view.

  1. Go to Assets > Views. You can filter on any asset view, but to see all your assets, go to All views > All assets.

  2. Select Filters > Add filter.

  3. Enter the following information:

    • Field: Licensed
    • Operator: Equals
    • Value: True or False
  4. Select Apply.

  5. To save the view, select Unsaved view > Save as new.

  6. Enter a name for your view, then select Save as new.

The saved view is available at Assets > Views > All views.
